Côtière Alpine is the name of the herd we are building since 2008 in St-Anicet, Québec. The farm we are living on is less than 250 meters far from the St.Lawrence River becoming St. Francis Lake at this point. We raise about 10 purebred alpine goats trying to get them as performant in the show ring as in the milk parlor. Our fondation does are coming from Trilyte Alpine owned by Susan Frazer from Manitoba, and from Ferme Côté S.E.N.C. based at Lefebvre, Québec. Those animals are descending from the best herd in North America like Qu'appelle, Sunshine, Roeburn and Willow Run. Our whole herd is caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE) free to see them perform as long as possible.
You can see the breedings planned for this Fall by looking at our section Breeding. Because we want to keep our herd quite small, we have few milkers for sale. You can find those animals on For sale page. We wish that you will appreciate your virtual tour of our herd. If you have any question about our animals or about the importaion of american bucks, don't hesitate to contact us.
We want to thank Ferme Larijol from St-Gervais-de-Bellechasse and Ferme des 4 Feuilles from St-Germain-de-Grantham who bought animals from our herd in 2011.
talk to you soon !
